Thobile Mawerera is an ABA Therapist who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Dartmouth College in the USA, having also minored in Education.
He began his ABA journey shortly after completing his undergraduate studies, working as a Registered Behaviour Technician for 2 years in a 1:1 clinic setting. Thobile primarily has experience working with early learners with autism of various skill levels, having previously provided services for verbal and non-verbal learners. As such, he is well-versed in the use of Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT), and Phases 1-4 of the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS).
Thobile’s philosophy is driven by a desire to help all of his learners develop into their authentic selves while also providing them the skills and tools they need to reach their developmental milestones. He is
constantly looking for new ways to better use his skills in service of this mission.
