Saja Houmani

Saja graduated from Lebanese University, Faculty of Public Health, Lebanon, with a Bachelor of Honors and Master1 in Speech and Language Therapy, with over 5 years experience in the field.

Her areas of specialty include:

  • Speech sound disorders
  • Speech fluency disorders (stuttering / cluttering)
  • Disorders related to cleft lip and palate
  • Language disorders / delays
  • Communication disorders
  • Pragmatic language disorders
  • Written language difficulties

  Committed to early intervention, Saja’s primary focus centers on collaborating individually with children and their families. Her mission is to nurture social, emotional, and behavioral well-being while fostering educational achievements. She specializes in training and coaching educators and families, providing them with effective strategies to support children facing language, speech, and communication challenges through the development of comprehensive guidance programs.

 Saja has substantial clinical experience in assessing and treating children with hearing loss, as well as language delays, speech disorders, fluency issues, neurocognitive disorders, literacy difficulties, and pragmatic difficulties. Additionally, she is trained in the use of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) systems.

 Saja is certified in the following programmes:

TED –  Exchange and Development Therapy – Neuro-functional rehabilitation model for social communication.

Orton- Gillingham is a phonics-based therapy approach used to assist individuals, especially those with dyslexia, in improving their reading and spelling skills.

PECS – Picture Exchange Communication System, communication tool designed for individuals with autism spectrum disorder.

Saja is also trained in Auditory Verbal Therapy, a specialized early intervention program that equips parents and caregivers to support children with hearing loss/deafness in developing their listening and spoken language development.
