Bethany Ongtangco graduated from the University of the Philippines Manila in 2014 with a degree in Speech Pathology. Since then, she has specialised in paediatrics and adolescents, working with children aged 18 months to 15 years in both onsite and online therapy settings.
With over 10 years of clinical experience, Bethany has supported children with autism, developmental delays, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, speech and language delays, and childhood apraxia of speech. She has also been the Team Leader for the Speech Therapy Department since 2024, guiding clinical standards and mentoring fellow therapists.
Her areas of expertise include:
- Autism and social communication
- Early language intervention
- Play-based therapy
- Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), both high-tech and low-tech
- Childhood Apraxia of Speech
- Oral motor difficulties
- Social communication groups for school-aged children
Bethany is certified in PROMPT Therapy and Oral Placement Therapy and holds additional training in Social Thinking, which supports children and adolescents in developing social competence and pragmatic communication.
She is passionate about creating a safe, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment for children, while also offering practical guidance and compassionate support to parents and families.
