Punam Varshney is an International Behavior Analyst (IBA). She graduated from the University of Pune with a Bachelor of Pharmacy and a Master’s in Hospital Management. She further went on to study Applied Behaviour Analysis ( ABA) at the Florida Institute of Technology. Having lived in Dubai since 2005, Punam has over a decade of diverse experience in the area of
special needs; she has been associated with The Rashid Pediatric Therapy Centre, Dubai, and Carbone Clinic, DHCC, Dubai in her previous roles. She has also worked in school settings.
Punam has extensively helped children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in promoting their independence, involvement and interaction in their daily lives. Punam believes children with ASD can have many hidden skills. Her goal is to identify and develop those skills through individualized and early intensive behavioral intervention (EIBI) programs that are evidence-based and child-friendly. She is well trained in utilizing B.F. Skinner’s analysis of Verbal Behavior for assessments and effective intervention in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Punam supervises and trains the team of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) who implement the program for children receiving ABA therapy. She is committed to improving the functional, social, and academic skills of children under her care.
