Mr. Jay Doshi is a highly experienced and leading Paediatric Occupational Therapist with vast expertise in his domain. He has attained his license from Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Ministry of Health (MOH) and he is a member of AIOTA. He has enjoyed being a paediatric Occupational Therapist since he graduated in 2010. He pursued a Master of Occupational Therapy degree in Neuroscience as a means of understanding the brain and the nervous system and its relationship to the body. Mr. Jay holds more than a decade’s experience in providing Occupational Therapy to children. He has practiced as a licensed occupational therapist in a variety of settings, ranging from NGO, special schools, developmental centers, multidisciplinary clinics and in mainstream schools.

He has experience working with multitude of diagnosis such as neurodevelopment dysfunctions such as Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and other acute and chronic conditions. He also has immense interest and experience with children with Sensory processing challenges, Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD), ADD/ADHD and learning disabilities. He has special interests in working with children from 0-18 years for a holistic development with a primary focus on helping them and the families be as independent as possible in different performance areas such as Activity of Daily Living (ADL), Play/ Social skills, Gross motor development, Fine motor development, Handwriting skills, Emotional regulation, Sensory regulation and many more.

He has extensive training in Sensory Integration theory and techniques, along with knowledge about using different Frames of Reference and Evidence-based practice for improving child’s performance in variety of skills. He is also a certified therapist in the Astronaut Training protocol®, which helps children with vestibular, visual and auditory dysfunctions and its related issues.
