Flavia Leal is an experienced paediatric Occupational Therapist. Since completing the Occupational Therapy Program at the University Of Medical Science Of Minas Gerais in 2005 and a post-graduation course on special needs education by the Anglia Ruskin University in the UK in 2019,
Before joining Neuropedia, she worked in a variety of settings, including home care, schools and private clinics. She enjoys working closely with her clients and their families, empowering them through education, and supporting family relationships.
Throughout her 18 years of pediatric experience, she has focused on increasing her skills by attending continuing education courses on topics including dyspraxia, modulation, posture, and handwriting programs. She is also Sensory Integration certified and has completed the Alert Program for self-regulation, the Makaton, Therapeutic Listening and Interactive Metronome training programs.
Flavia is excited to have joined Neuropedia Children’s Neuroscience Center to continue advancing her skills while working as part of a holistic team.
